The Agafay desert

The Agafay desert is located some 30 km south of Marrakech and coversseveral hundred hectares.

This rocky desert can be assimilated to a sandy desert. Indeed, its white dunes stand out from the landscape and are similar to dunes of the Sahara. In the middle of this desert there is a surprising oasis nicknamed the Oasis a haven of peace and tranquillity, where the flora and fauna can thrive. In the hollow of the wadi, frogs and turtles live peacefully, surrounded by water and arid land! Lost in the dune-like desert hills, a few Berber villages continue to exist in this austere but sublime natural setting.
